Top 5 Rated Best Mens Beard Oil Softener Products Reviewed

In this article we’re going to focus on my picks for the top rated best beard oil brands and products themselves.

If you’re unsure of what beard oil is or just looking for more general information about it then check out this article I’ve written previously which covers a lot of common questions most people tend to ask about beard oils.

I’ll be covering multiple products in this article so that you can find exactly the beard oil that you’re looking for.

GRAVE BEFORE SHAVE Gentlemen’s Blend Beard Oil (Bourbon Scent)

Ingredients:

  • Tea Tree Oil
  • Pure Apricot Oil
  • Jojoba Oil
  • Sweet Almond Oil
  • Vitamin E
  • Aloe Vera & Some Essential Oils

To start off I’ll talk about the smell from this oil. It is probably the manliest smelling yet refreshing type of smell that I’ve found in a beard oil.

I find myself sometimes just opening the bottle to smell it just for the heck of it.

Moving past the smell it still has to do something for how our beard fills right? Well no worries here, let’s just say the smell hooked me and the effects on the beard reeled me in.

I get a very smooth feeling with a little bit of shine type to my beard after using this product.

CanYouHandlebar Wisdom Beard Oil

Ingredients:

  • Olive Oil
  • Grapeseed Oil
  • Rice Bran Oil
  • Jojoba Oil
  • Meadowfoam Seed Oil
  • Vitamin E

Trying to decide between the wisdom beard oil & the gentleman’s blend that we mention above for which comes in as my favorite had me literally redoing this article many a times.

Finally I just said these two are both of my favorites because I flat out can’t choose between the two.

The Wisdom Beard Oil comes in with a very good smelling woodsy manly scent that my girlfriend just loves; I swear it’s got some sort of pheromones or something in it that causes her to get ‘excited’. No complaints on my end.

Speaking of my girlfriend she not only loves the smell but how it softens up my beard to boot. She would always complain of how prickly my beard felt when kissing her which actually led me to finding out about beard oils.

So smell = check, softness = check and a check on the clean look it gives my beard after using it in the mornings.

Wild Willie’s Beard Oil The Manskape Co

Ingredients:

  • Apricot Kernel Oil
  • Grapessed Oil
  • Gold Jojoba Oil
  • Castor Oil
  • Argan Oil
  • Emu Oil
  • Tea Tree Essential Oil
  • Cedarwood Essential Oil
  • Rosemary Essential Oil

As you can tell this beard oil contains a multitude of oils to make it up and it also contains some other vitamins as well.

I really enjoy the smell from this oil it’s not as strong as the other I’ve listed above which could be a good or bad thing depending on who you ask.

You might think that looking at the lengthy ingredient profile that this beard oil is trying to do too much by being a jack of all trades.

For the 3 main reasons that I use beard oil this does exactly what I want my oil to do which is soften my beard, help prevent beard itch and leave my beard smelling better than it did before I put it on. All 3 of these you can put a check mark by.

Woodsman Beard Oil by The Bearded Bastard

Ingredients:

  • Sweet Almond Oil
  • Safflower Oil
  • Grapeseed Oil
  • Jojoba Oil
  • Argan Oil
  • Olive Oil
  • Castor Oil
  • Natural Fragrance

With this scent it aims for woodsy type of smell which they definitely hit the nail on the head with it.

The scent reminds me of how the forest area would smell in the mornings when I’d wake up from camping.

It was kind of a combination of the pine straw, the tree sap and other things.

Really hard to put an exact match on the scent per say but they did a great job with it never the less.

GRAVE BEFORE SHAVE Caramel Mocha Blend Beard Oil (Caramel Mocha Coffee Scent)

Ingredients:

  • Tea Tree Oil
  • Pure Apricot Oil
  • Jojoba Oil
  • Sweet Almond Oil
  • Vitamin E
  • Aloe Vera
  • Some Essential Oils

Yes, you read that correctly a caramel mocha coffee scent.

I absolutely love the way this smells.

It has a much different smell than most beard oils because it goes for a more sweet type of smell opposed to the more manly type of scent.

By sweet don’t confuse this for a girl perfume type of smell.

Its name is pretty dead on with how it smells; it gives off a slight chocolate chip cookie in the oven type of smell as well.

I tend to swap out this type of scent one week for the more outdoorsy/manly type on another week.

Which Beard Oil Should You Buy

I have tried to cover as much Ive could in terms of different beard oils and how others my be looking for something different in their oils. Overall all of the oils on the list get a thumbs up by me.

I say find one give it a shot then if you don’t like it at least you know one that you won’t be using ;). The best part is most of these beard oils are pretty cheap so even if you happen to not like one that you buy it won’t really hurt your wallet to much overall.

Note that beard oils are only one piece of the beard grooming puzzle, don’t forget other tools such as your trimmer.

These are my overall favorite beard oils but if you’re looking for more specific ones then you might be interest in some of our other beard oil articles about different kits, all natural ones, unscented ones and most likely more to come.

If you have any recommendations for ones that might deserve to be on this list then let me know as I’ll be updating it overtime when I find new ones that I like.

Any questions or comments just leave them on the article below.
