Best Wrist Watches For Nurses | EMT | Firefighters In 2019

Let’s take a look at the best watches for nurses, paramedics, and firefighters for both men and women to use in 2018.

Now, this isn’t limited to just these jobs, these watches will be great for pretty much any medical profession.

I’ve tried to rank these my how useful they can be for the job but of course, I had to factor in looks into the equation, at least a little bit.

Luminox Men’s 3051 EVO Navy SEAL Colormark Watch

The Luminox Men’s 3051 EVO Navy SEAL Colormark Watch is easily one of the best watches you can use.

It’s has a quality build, easy to use, with a simple to read dial.

Here are what we like about this watch:

  • Large Easy To Read Contrast White Markers
  • Strong Buckle Closure So That It Doesn’t Come Off Easy
  • Water Resistant Up To 200 M
  • Band Is Made of Polyurethane For Easy Cleaning
  • Has Tritium In It For Easy Viewing At Nighttime

Overall this is a very good watch from a great brand in the watch industry.

Some women may not like the overall look of it but it can be used both men or women.

The only downside I can say about this watch is it’s a little more on the pricey side compared to the other watches on our list.

SKMEI Digital Sport Watch

The SKMEI Digital Sport Watch makes for a perfect watch to use when out on calls or in the hospital.

Here are the reasons we chose this watch:

  • Price
  • Large Easy To Read Numbers
  • Has Military Time
  • Waterproof (Able To Wash Hands With It On)
  • Has A Stop Watch
  • Features The Date
  • PU Leather Band

Okay, I’ll stop with there with the perks of using this watch but as you can tell this watch has everything you need & then some to make it perfect for a medical watch.

The band is made of PU leather which makes for easy cleaning, which is a must because you’re likely to get all sort of body fluids, blood etc.. on your watch.

On top of all that, this watch works for both men and women looks wise.

Timex Weekender 40mm Watch

The Timex Weekender 40mm Watch is our next pick.

This is probably the best-looking watch on the list in my opinion. It’s simple but has a great overall appearance to it.

It doesn’t offer a lot of features like the others we’ve talked about but if you’re just looking for a watch that looks good & had what’s needed then this can be a good watch.

Here are the features it has:

  • 24 Hour Military Time
  • Genuine Leather Wrist Strap
  • Easy To Change Out The Wrist Bands
  • Waterproof Enough For Getting Splashed On
  • Durable

If you don’t need all of the extras like a stopwatch, date or any extra but want a watch that you can use for work just as well if you were out on a date then this watch is a solid option.

Speidel Scrub Watch

The Speidel Scrub Watch is a favorite amongst nurses & nursing students.

Similar to our third pick it takes a very simple yet reliable approach to it.

Even though you can change out the wristbands on this, it still focuses on more feminine colors which are a bummer.

There are some gender neutral colors like the teal & blue but they are too light for most guys.

However, like I said changing out the bands is always an option.

Details about this watch:

  • 100% Silicone Band
  • Easy To Clean
  • Waterproof
  • Large Hour Numbers
  • Military Time

Speidel also has a good reputation for their watches, which is always a plus.

LEMFO LF19 Digital Smart Watch

The LEMFO LF19 Digital Smart Watch finishes up our best men’s/women’s firefighter, nurses, EMT wrist watches list.

Now with the number of features this watch has, it could have easily been our #1 pick but it’s also one of the reasons why it wasn’t.

By that I mean, sure it’s nice to have tons of features but along with that makes it slightly more complex with each additional feature. That’s pretty much for anything, not just watches.

Well, here’s a watch that is loaded with features but made me a bit too much for some.

Let’s take a look at said features:

  • Waterproof
  • Very Good Battery
  • BlueTooth
  • Fitness tracker
  • Stopwatch
  • Luminous Dial

Most of these make for a great medical watch & then a nice little extra touch with some things like the fitness tracker.

Now working in a hospital, you walk a lot (depending on your department) & I know a lot of female nurses I work/spoke with would always wonder how many steps/calories they’ve walked/burned that shift.

This resulted in buying a bunch of fitness tracker watches, but they would also tend to have another watch on with it for more work-related reasons.

I’m getting off topic here. This watch looks good, is loaded with features & has everything one would need for work.

What To Consider When Buying A Watch When In The Medical Profession

So, how did I come to choosing the watches I did, for what reason did these appeal to me?

How Much To Spend On A Medical Profession Watch

Working in the medical field, you’ll be dealing with all sorts of people, situations & you never know what you might be exposed to.

You don’t want to pay for an expensive watch that might get pulled off when loading a patient, get blood all over it (even if you can wash it).

There are numerous amounts of things that could happen to your watch.

If something does, you don’t want to be left holding a $200 paperweight or worse not even knowing where it is.

Get A Mostly Waterproof Watch

You want to have a watch that won’t die out on you if it gets caught in the rain or if it gets wet when washing your hands.

You’re constantly having to wash your hands in any medical profession & having to take your watch off each time would be a complete pain in the butt.

Find A Watch That Is Easy To Clean

By clean, I don’t mean just using a wet rag on it but disinfectant clothes you would use in the hospital.

Like I mentioned, your watch can be exposed to numerous amounts of things so you’ll want something that won’t trap it anything & that would be able to wash off.

Some people are even to where if they get blood on their watch they just prefer to junk it & buy a new one, just in case. This is where the price factor comes in that I mentioned above.

Military Time Is A Must For Watches In The Medical Profession

When charting/documenting anything you’re most likely going to be doing this in military time.

Having a watch that you can just glance down at to verify what the hour is in military time make it much easier.

The End

Alright, this is where I leave you, folks.

I tried my best to pick watches that would work for best across all medical professions jobs & all gender neutral watches as well.

With that being said, certain ones may work better for female nurses than they would for male firefighters but either way, you have some good watches to choose from at least.
