Logitech G430 DTS Gaming Headset Review

In this post we’ll be looking at my review of the LOGITECH G430 DTS Gaming Headset.

I really like the fact that you can get a quality headset like this one without having a major $ behind it.

As gamers we all one great gear to enhance our gaming experience but a lot of us don’t have the money to spend on all the extra goodies, especially after you buy your gaming computer.

So let’s get going with the main parts of this article.

The Pros And Cons

I’ll break down what I mean here more in each section below, but above is just a baseline of my thoughts on it for those who don’t want to get in-depth.

How’s The Sound Quality On This Headset

The G430 has impressed me in its overall sound quality, with features like X and Dolby 7.1 surround sound.

It really helps give an immersive type of feel when playing a game especially something with a story mode cut scenes. I like the amount of bass that it has because it falls in that not too much but just enough category, with that it also makes for a good music listening headset as well.

Thoughts On The Microphone

From my standpoint after using a good bit of gaming headsets it seems that the mic is the bottleneck of many gaming headsets.

This means that it’s so close to being a superb headset with all of its features but the mic seems to hold it back from being there.

I think many of us are getting used to hearing those others using desktop mics like the blue yeti and we’re expecting similar quality or we’re let down.

With that being said, I’m not saying that the mic quality is bad on this headset but it’s on par with just your average gaming headset mic quality so there isn’t much to praise on it.

How Comfortable Is This Headset?

I like the comfort of this headset because it has a good amount of padding on the ear cups where it’s not too much or not to little.

I also give a thumbs up on the material that Logitech decided to use on it.

The only thing I would change on this headset comfort wise is I wish it would be a little tighter pressed against my ears. Some gamers hate that but I like it personally, plus it helps lock in that sound a bit better.

Would You Recommend This Headset?

As a general statement I will say this is one of the best headsets that you’re going to find in its price range but if you have $30-40 MORE dollars to spend on choosing your headset then there are better options.

Overall though I will give the Logitech G430 headset a thumbs up and recommend it more for those who are on a very strict budget when picking out their headset.

This has been a very popular headset so you shouldn’t have an issue finding in at most major retail stores (online). As for which ones, I recommend looking at Amazon first.
