In this article I will be giving you my review of the P90X3 DVD workout program created by Beachbody.
I’ll be covering a lot of questions that you may have about the program along with the general pros and cons and what to expect from this program.
What Are The Pros And Cons

Pros
- Workouts Are Much Shorter Than The Original Only 30 Minutes Long
- Not As Difficult As The Original P90X
- The Workouts Hit All Body Parts Including Cardio
- No Commute To The Gym: Work Out From Home
- Tony Horton Knowledgeable Instructor
Cons
- Price May Be An Issue For Some But It's Only A One Time Buy
- Need Some Open Space In A Room To Be Able To Work Out
- Not A Huge Fan Of Pilates And Yoga
How Long Does It Take To See Results
The first question whenever anyone starts this program is wanting to know how quick they can expect to see some results.
That’s understandable but also not an easy question to answer.
If you’re one who does not work out a lot or hasn’t worked out in many years then you may start to notice results the first week.
Is It Hard To Do
This also varies per person but as someone who goes to the gym 3 to 4 times a week I’ll say it’s not easy.
This is a good thing because if it was easy the results probably would be nowhere near as good.
If you’re worried that you won’t be able to keep up through program then you shouldn’t be because they don’t expect you be able to finish the entire workout on your first week, especially if you haven’t worked out in awhile.
What you’ll do is you’ll start and do as much as you can in the workouts then next week when you do the same workout try to go a little bit further, then a little further and eventually you’ll be able to do the entire workout.
You’re not going to be able to go from 0 to 100 mph just like that, it takes time to build your body up so don’t get discouraged.
What Equipment Do You Need
The kit actually comes with everything you will need but I do suggest grabbing a few items.
First off, if you don’t want to use resistance bands grab some dumbbells if you do want to use resistant bands it does come with some but I suggest just grabbing some more advanced ones so you can really push yourself.
It comes with a mat to lay on but if you don’t find it comfortable you might want to grab another one.
The last thing is a pull up bar, it is not required but I suggest that you grab one to really get the most of this program especially for working out your back.
Does It Really Work
Absolutely! You just have to be willing to put in the work, eat right, be patient and you’ll see results.
The more strict you are with your workouts and eating then the quicker and better results you’ll get.
If you skip workouts and find yourself slacking on your diet then you may delay results or worse, not see any positive results.
It all depends on how much you’re willing to put into it.
Where To Buy
They (The Owners) sell it on their website, which is beachbody.com but you can also buy it on Amazon, which is where I bought mine.

I don’t know of any local stores that carry it so online ordering may be your only option here.
Should You Buy
This is hard to give an exact yes or no answer for.
If you find yourself having a hard time getting to the gym because of work hours or family and looking for a home fitness program I think this will be perfect.
If you’re new to fitness and have no idea how to workout then this program does wonders to help guide you.
It’s like having a personal trainer on your TV, basically holding your hand through the workouts.
I had great results and I can see plenty of other people that have had great results with this program.
Just do a simple google search for “P90X3 Results” to see how the program has worked for some people.
Overall I think this program is a great workout that will definitely help get you in better shape as long as you put in the work to do it.
