Let’s look at my review of Ralph Lauren Polo Red Mens Cologne.
Your scent completes your look and personal style. And when choosing a specific type of scent, most men would go for that kind of fragrance that perfectly embodies the qualities of a modern man- fierce, bold, sophisticated and strong.
In going for this kind of scent, there are several known brands to choose from. But one can never go wrong in choosing Ralph Lauren. They are considered to be one of the most famous signature fragrances among men and their popularity isn’t just all market hype.
Pros And Cons Of Ralph Lauren Polo Red Mens Cologne
- A Signature Fragrance That Is Packaged In A Simple Very Charismatic Packaging
- Perfectly Blends Invigorating Ingredients That Give You This Spicy And Woody Aroma That Embodies Strength, Masculinity And Sophistication
- The Composition Of The Scent Might Be Slightly Strong But For Some This Might Can Be A Good Thing
- Has An Amazing Staying Power Which Can Last For Several Hours
- Suitable For Almost Any Occasion And Any Time
- If You Are Not Into Strong Scents, You May Not Like The Energizing Aroma Of This Cologne.
Launched in 2013, Ralph Lauren Polo Red is marketed as an energizing and ferocious fragrance that best fits the fiery color red.
Created by perfumer Olivier Gillotin, the fragrance is created to depict the main qualities that exude masculinity and strength.
This scent gives you that invigorating and energizing scent that has amazing staying power.
The cologne is packaged in a characteristic red flacon available in 45 ml, 75 ml and 125 ml. The product is packaged in a relatively simpler design compared to other signature fragrances but it has this charismatic and elegant design that you can only expect from the well renowned Ralph Lauren.
Composition: If you are looking for a scent that gives you this high energy, the Ralph Laure Polo Red wouldn’t disappoint.
The notes of this fragrance perfectly blends the invigorating ingredients like cranberry, red grapefruit and lemon juice. The moment the fragrance opens up, you can smell the citrus and berry scents.
The heart of this fragrance uses lavender, red saffron and red sage. These are the mid notes that take over after the light scents. Coffee beans, red wood and hot amber add depth to this scent. The woody and spicy blend of this cologne is something that you should really like.
Best Use: With its strong ingredients and a combination of different components that energize the scent as a whole, it exudes a scent that is exotic and very manly making it a perfect choice for almost any occasion or any place.
Whenever I take on a few sprays of Ralph Lauren Polo Red, it feels as if I have this really high energy with me. But in my case, I don’t prefer to use it on a daily basis because I find the spicy and woody scent a bit strong to my preference.
But if you are the type who is really into this kind of fragrance, it is also a good daily scent wear.
Longevity: How about the longevity? The fragrance of this cologne is long lasting. I wasn’t surprised with its staying power especially since the product is marketed that way and taking a look at the ingredients used, you know that you have this strong scent that will last long.
My take on the Ralph Lauren Polo Red is quite divided. If one is going to rate this product base on its over-all quality, it is a good buy. Although there is nothing so special with the packaging, Ralph Lauren is still Ralph Lauren and not to mention that it is a signature fragrance.
The scent is quite strong but it is the kind of fragrance that is the complete embodiment of a strong and successful man, the kind of scent that some men would like and some wouldn’t enjoy.
So in the end, it all boils down to preference. In terms of longevity, the staying power is superb.
With all the things that this cologne has to offer, this is still a good choice.
